We have more Christmas stories and memories from our Farmer’s MedShoppe team. This is the second part of a two-part series. Enjoy…
Sissy Stringer – Receptionist, “Christmas is not always about the gifts. Christmas is a time to celebrate our Lord and Savior, and enjoy our time with our family and friends. The best memory I have from Christmas is when my grandmother cooks a big meal before we open gifts. She is so special to me, and I love her very dearly. After we eat a big supper, we sit in a circle in my mother’s living room and take turns opening gifts. At the end of the night, we all say our goodbyes and head back to our homes to enjoy the rest of our Christmas night.”
Angela Pittman – Receptionist, “Every Christmas Day, my dad would always read the Christmas Story before we opened gifts. He always reminded us of the real reason we celebrate Christmas.”
Ruby Mark – Scheduling, “To me, Christmas means celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and spending time with family and friends. On Christmas morning, my daughter and I wake up and open gifts. After we open gifts, we eat breakfast and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. Later on, we meet with the rest of the family at my grandmothers to eat dinner. We spend the rest of the day opening gifts, playing games, and telling jokes. My best gift is the gift of salvation and my favorite memory is seeing my daughter open her gifts with a smile on her face.”
Chris Crawford – Clinic Manager, “Christmas, for me, is about my kids. Yes, it is to celebrate the birth of Christ…but for me, its about showing them love and imparting in them the real reason for that love. It is a day of family time…drinking coffee, wearing PJ’s, opening gifts, enjoying the gifts we’ve received…just being together. There is nothing better than a Christmas morning. I also love videoing our Christmas’ and making videos.” Watch: https://youtu.be/bg7Fmg6cyGA
Tonya Farmer – Co-Owner, “This is my favorite time of year! Our home is always decorated and festive. The kids love to help decorate the tree. The best gift I ever received was Christmas morning 1997: Clayton proposed! Clayton and I always celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve night after we get the kids to bed. So, Christmas morning is all about the kids. After we open gifts, we have a big breakfast. It’s a wonderful day spent with family celebrating the birth of Christ.”
